A trendy spot for Mediterranean eats tucked into the West Village -- I'm obsessed with this spot. The ambiance is really nice and we were seated in a bright, airy space. The servers were attentive, friendly and made great recommendations. The menu has a ton of small plates that are perfect for sharing -- I appreciated that they had a lot of vegetarian options. Every single thing I had here was delicious but my standouts were the Whipped Feta and Fried Halloumi. I'll be back soon to work my way through all of the dips!

This place continues to be a home run. Honestly, I've been coming for years and it just consistently delivers. I love love love the vibe here. It's beautiful while not being stuffy. The airy back garden feeling terrace is my fav place to sit. It's perfect for lunch but becomes perfectly moody by evening. The food is a vibrant rainbow with each dish. I honestly am floored by the dishes and how they are a spectacle of themselves. All are insanely fresh. That fried halloumi should be illegal. I love all the kebabs and dips. The pita is stellar. Such a solid place time and time again. Cannot wait for another meal there.

Overall we had a nice brunch at Shuka. The fried halloumi was spectacular - 100% recommend as a starter. My friend ordered the green shashuka, which she enjoyed but we were surprised that it didn't come with any side pita or bread (especially for the price). My other friend got the chicken shawarma, which was quite a small portion for the price too. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was very beautiful and nice for a cute gathering. Overall would go again but would be mindful about what to order.

The food was very good. We had fattoush salad that came w/ fried halloumi cheese. It was not your ordinary fattoush salad, but it was very. good. We also had whipped feta w/ pistachios. It was out of this world! The zucchini fritters are so good and light. We of coarse had the baba ghanoush & hummus. We had the kabobs of all kinds came to the table w/ salad underneath them and pita bread. It was so so good. The drinks were out of this world: the cucumber vodka drink, I had 3 of them, so refreshing. Others had the yogurt drink w/ cucumbers also alcoholic. They were also very good. The server was awesome! The ambiance was amazing. We were very loud but no one seemed to mind.

Friday lunch - food came out fast, attentive service, and beautiful vibes Everything was fresh and flavorful. Fav food: Whipped feta pistachio (not too strong of a feta flavor) Cheese arayes (stuffed pita) Prices seemed standard for nyc. $10-15 apps, $20-30 entrees Make a reservation if you can. Place was packed on a Friday for even lunch time.

I dropped in for brunch at Shuka on a Saturday and had a delightful experience. Seated on the lovely patio, I was immediately impressed by our server's enthusiasm and friendliness. He provided excellent recommendations, enhancing our dining experience. The food was outstanding. We started with the whipped feta and pistachio, which was a delicious appetizer. I also had the Malawach, and the flavors were exquisite. The eggs were cooked to perfection, and the marinated feta was dreamy. The Yemenite flaky bread was worth every single calorie. Overall, Shuka provided a memorable brunch experience with exceptional food and service. Highly recommended! The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing Saturday brunch. We were able to people watch and sip wine without feeling rushed out.

We pulled up for our 8:45pm res on wobbly legs, as we had just come from the Mermaid Oyster bar happy hour that we pregamed with a couple shots of the Hen. I'm not gonna lie, this dinner was a blur as I ordered a Za'atar infused dirty martini right as we sat down that sent me straight to the shadow realm. I shouldn't have done it, but the name of the drink was "Cyprus." That was just too cool of a drink name for me to pass up, and anything with Za'atar in it has my number these days... Amidst stepping in and out of this physical universe, there are a few things that brought me back to reality: 1) These Moroccan Carrots were INSANE. It was the way they were perfectly cooked along with the spicy pomegranate glaze that really made them special, from bench player to superstar. 2) The Pita Bread was giving me life. I'm a simple man, and there is almost no better way to start a meal than warm quality pita bread with authentic hummus. 3) The Grilled Lamb Kabobs were spiritual. A blast of flavors and spices on each bite that you can only get at a quality Mediterranean restaurant like Shuka or 12 chairs... tbh Shuka is BOOMING 12 Chairs. To wrap up the dinner and my girlfriend's birthday celebration, they brought out an olive oil cake that was blessed by the hand of Zeus himself. I LOVE olive oil cake, but this one was next-next level. I was making good use of my orangutan arms, reaching all the way across the table like some kind of wild animal with a blood thirst for olive oil cake. At this point, I remembered my mom raised me better than this so I chilled. But that's how good the olive oil cake was. Even with one foot in the shadow realm, Shuka DELIVERED.
